This has been quite a week! Let’s quickly recap (Comment below and tell me what you’ve been doing! Don’t let me do all the talking!) then lets chat about how you will Never buy another cheese ball again!
1- December snowstorm in Atlanta – We got five inches of snow and lost power for about 12 hours. The forecasters got it very wrong. I recall one comment “Less than an inch and it won’t stick.” Ha Ha Ha! The girls loved it but we had lots of cold hands and feet. I might buy some real gear for them to wear next time but then we won’t get any snow for five years!
2- Fudge orders for the holidays are cranking up. Thanks for all the orders! I’m just about at capacity but can probably squeeze in some folks for late next week or after Christmas.
3-I Love entering contests and am a finalist in this holiday cookie contest. The Feed Feed Holiday Cookie Contest What an honor! I wonder who will win!!!!! 🙂
4-Hanukkah began this week and we celebrated last night with friends. It was a blast! The girls love lighting the candles each night and Of course they like the presents too! May your holidays be filled with peace, joy, and yummy foods!
5-I’m waste high in sugar! I won a year’s supply of sugar from Dixie Crystals last month and all the sugar arrived this week. 72 pounds of brown, powdered and regular sugar!!!!! What should I bake first?
I’ve made this cheese dip three times in the last week – first time as a ball for my garden club, second time as a spread for the neighborhood cookie party and this time as a spread again for our Hanukkah party. It’s so simple to make, yummy and will get devoured. Serve it in a dish like below or make it into a ball. The ball will be about the size of a softball and needs to be refrigerated for at least an hour before you roll it in the pecans. Either dish or ball can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Serve it with any type of cracker – Triscuits, Carr crackers, Ritz crackers – whatever you like! Give it a go for your next function. You won’t be sorry!!!!!
