Ghirardelli announced a S’mores contest in July and ever since then I’ve been busy in the kitchen creating the most outrageous and delicious flavors. You’ve probably seen the photos posted on my social media pages. I saw on the calendar that yesterday was National S’mores Day and I couldn’t resist making something else to celebrate this fabulous campfire staple. So I baked a pan of S’more Brownies and they exceeded my expectations! Graham cracker crust, brownie layer and marshmellows equals Deelicious! I gave Ben and the girls specific orders not to touch them while I went for a run because they needed to cool and set up properly. Instead they made their own because Kinsey spilled the beans with a cute story at breakfast. “Mommy, we made our own s’mores in that thing!” (Thing = Microwave) I wondered what they used so I went into the pantry and found their evidence – an opened marshmellow bag and an old chocolate Easter bunny. Oh my! I took some of the brownies to work, left a few at home and gifted my friend, Anjali. The container I took to work was empty by 10:30am! I heard a lot of “mmmm” sound effects!
